No Solo battles on ultimate team?

Just downloaded Madden 23 for PS5, I'm only interested in ultimate team and solo play, just went to play my 1st solo battles game and when I go into the solo battles tab, there's no games to play in there, it just shows 'my rank' or 'top 100' tabs but no option anywhere to actually play a game.

Any ideas? Am I missing something here?

    Sadly this is not a glitch

     Ea does it every year. At the end of the life cycle madden loses the solo battle feature because EA is cheep and lazy and doesn't want to fix the issues the game faces so they just remove features entirely. Also happened with the tvps and most packs apparently
