No Team Captain player - Pack expired?

I've been playing MUT a lot more recently and currently am level 39,  I've noticed my friends having a team captain player but I don't have one in my collection, nor do I have the team captain fantasy pack.  I contacted EA support and it turns out the team captain pack expires after one week if unclaimed for some reason.  When I first started the game I started a MUT team but ended up primarily playing franchise mode for the first few weeks so it seems I'm screwed out of a team captain card and now I have these useless team captain upgrade tokens accumulating in my inventory.  Is there any way to reacquire this pack?  I've attached the PDF transcript from my chat with support, is there any way for me to receive a team captain pack? because it seems kind of silly to have one of the pillars of your team that you're supposed to upgrade throughout the entire time of playing MUT just potentially be unobtainable.
