Overtime rules are not correct

Summarize your bug This is happening in solo battles for sure. I don't think you have the overtime rules programmed into the game correctly. https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-overtime-rules/ is the official NFL site with the current overtime rules. Specifically the section that says: No more than one 10-minute period will follow a three-minute intermission. Each team must possess, or have the opportunity to possess, the ball. "The exception: if the team that gets the ball first scores a touchdown on the opening possession." It doesn't do this instead of the team that get the ball first scores a touchdown on the opening possession winning the game, it makes you kickoff and continue the game. At the end of the overtime period even it will generate a new overtime period when the game should have already been over. Unless this was somehow the intention, however it does not comport with actual overtime rules in the NFL. Seems like a bug but maybe I'm wrong.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm sure you can do a solo battles and end the game in a tie and observe this, it has happened every time a game goes to ot since the game launched.
What happens when the bug occurs? You get a little aggravated because you have the won the game already but your watching ai opponent try to tie up the game when you should be looking at the next opponent.
What do you expect to see? next game.

Not sure what more you would need, someone didn't program the overtime rules correctly.  Additionally I know this is just for my amusement as this issue goes into a stack of ongoing issue that might be looked at by madden 33, if we're lucky.

    @Osiris9711 I also have had this happen to me every time. I win the game with a TD on first possession and the game doesn’t end it keeps going. This has cost me wins and is not in line with NFL rules for OT.

    This OT problem where if you score a TD in OT the game just keeps going. If you opponent then scores a TD and does a 2pt conversion they win. Has happened to me multiple times in Madden 23 on a PS4.

    I also have a PS 5 and a different OT error occurs when playing the PS 5 version. If you win the kickoff on OT go down the field the the first OT quarter ends the game is a tie.

    Just played a mut game went to ot and scored a td first possession, game kept going, should have been over, I still won but I have lost a game because of this before PLEASE FIX THE OT RULES!

    I think its pretty sad Madden football.  A game that has perfected a true football game can not get the proper overtime rules correct.  I just lost super bowl because of this STUPID glitch.  Won the toss....scored a touchdown.....its asking me to kick extra point?  wtf.... no no no thats not right.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. then of course mesh city and corner routes and he scored touchdown........he never deserved opportunity. hate this stupid game. screw you ea......at least rockstar can make a game legit in the rules........
