Playbook Auto Scrolling

Product: Madden NFL 20
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which console generation do you have? Playstation 4 Pro
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? PaulieV
Date/time issue occurred 7/28/2019 - 11:00-1130PM
What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
Which mode has this happened in? Ultimate Team
Which part of the mode? Solo Challenges
Summarize your bug Playbook automatically scrolls through plays
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have not yet found a way to trigger the playbooks scrolling. In solos (I've not played online, h2h yet) I do tend to run the same 3-4 plays out of the same formations - to date I've been using these: Offense: Patriots >Gun >Y Off Trips Pats > Pats X Curl, Pats Slot Out and Pats Cross. All 3 are on the same page as the playbook Defense: Patriots >Nickel >2-4-5 DBL A Gap > Mid Blitz Perhaps running the same plays repeatedly triggers the scrolling
What happens when the bug occurs? Playbooks begins rapidly scrolling through plays and I am unable to choose the play I want. I have been able to stop scrolling by pausing the game.
What do you expect to see? I expect the playbook to not randomly and rapidly scroll through plays by itself
PS4 Crash Reporting: Please copy the text you put in the crash report here. N/A
What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card? N/A
Enter RAM memory size in GB N/A

I have noticed that at random time while trying to choose a play from the playbook the system would begin quickly scrolling through plays, sets, formations, etc. It's happened with both offense and defense. I've only been playing challenges and have not yet played online games. It's happened with both of my controllers. I am typically able to stop it by pausing the game. However it has happened after the pause. It's intermittent and I have not been able to consistently trigger the behavior

  • Just a quick update - I removed my 2nd controller and have played a few games without issue.

Would be nice to be able to charge my 2nd controller while playing though.  Madden is pretty much the only game I play

If at some point this issue could be addressed that would be very much appreciated

@EA_Blueberry I do keep my second controller plugged in so it can charge. I'll try it with the 2nd controller disconnected.

I typically keep my system in rest mode but fully power it off at least 2-3 times a day. This issue has occurred in game at first boot.

If the issues persists after a clean boot and without the 2nd controller attached I will try to restore the licenses and update this issue with the results

    Thanks for the quick reply

Good to know unplugging it helped! Is that an official PlayStation controller you're charging?
