This game is nothing like what all the research says it should be. No switching to defensive camera angle, no halftime show, no "new play calling senerio". I feel like i just bought Madden 25 with 2 updated features. Can someone explain why?
Stories are coming out stating that EA used deceptive marketing to make people think that all systems would feature the same updates. However, only the next gen consoles got the updates (defensive player lock/ camera, new play calling system, etc). This is very sad considering the loyalty that PS3/ Xbox 360 users "HAD" for the franchise.
the real "loyal" gamers have moved on to ps4 and xb1...hate to break it to you, but to expect feature parity on an older system is crazy.
Yes. That's correct. Defense camera angle and defense line jump are the two cool features interested me to buy this game and it was also shown in allt he advertisements. But after played the game and knowing now that these aren't available in PS3, its a bummer.
Will these new features be enabled in PS3 by any chance by means of any updates?
If that isn't possible then i am going to return the game
Always go next gen unless you wanna be left behind and forgot about... dealing with these kinda issues. I guess you live and you learn. Madden 15 is pretty freaking amazing on PS4. Its the best madden I have ever played.
The topic of this discussion to me is so far very true. I've written to EA and also talked over the phone with them about gameplay. To all who have the "lower console" "ps3, xbox360" version of the game. (I have xbox360). The gameplay of this game seems to not really have changed since madden 25. I'm a pretty good player, although I don't play online. But as many may know, the defense has been a problem, especially when it comes to stopping the passing game. So it is, in the xbox360 version of madden 15. I can destroy the computers defense even when I have a sucky offense (what I feel SHOULD be a sucky offense) And likewise the computer can destroy my defense even when I have the BEST defense (I chose the TOPS from franchise, all defense first!). I cannot stop their passing game, I'm pretty good with stopping runs, BUT, that's when I know where to go and to stop them, I'm a great help and stopping power to the team on run plays. But with passing, I'm just 1 person on the field covering whomever I may see become open. So of course, the ball will be thrown somewhere else on the field, pretty much to whomever because none of the defensive guys seem to cover anyone good enough! And even if they do cover slightly well, the receiver can STILL catch it on one of the top defenders covering him!! Well ok, maybe that can still happen right??? YES, I take that....but... CONSTANTLY!!?? is the problem. I've done many and maybe all slider adjustments and also played on all-pro and madden. I didn't "try" the lower difficulty settings. I didn't think the game would get "better" by going lower for me, would you? I got tired of trying so many settings that did not work that it became ridiculous. I then found in "practice mode" that you can change settings and sliders! WHILE playing....soooo, I played with them! I took the SEAHAWKS defense against the RAIDERS offense....picked pretty good defensive pass coverage plays against BASIC passing plays for offense...maybe 3-4 players going out to receive?? Basic routes, nothing fancy or PA plays...RESULTS (I've also told this to EA over the phone) I tried many slider settings...I've found that raising or lowering interceptions slider does really nothing. Interceptions of 0 will still intercept! and quite well I add!....How well coverage is, does nothing. Pass reaction? Quite hard to tell, but I feel it does work. But what you can do, is just let the computer play against itself with whichever settings you choose. You'll see that you cannot really STOP the passing game. Yes you'll get nice defensive plays at times. But also here's a kicker for you. On All-Pro...the gameplay seems to be more "random". Than on Madden. On Madden, good luck with your players trying to get a sack! (not talking about you) the AI....Even with passblk to 0, defense still doesn't seem to be able to break through! I didn't try this setting to 100 lol, then again, got tired of it. All this is what breaks the game for me^...I know I'll be dealing with less graphics and maybe not the same features as xbox 1....but when the gameplay is same as madden 25, I have issues with it!! And as said, this was "advertised" by EA to be VERY different. And I find defense to suck!...So to others out there, please let EA know of this, if this you find to be true with your console also. I've done my part and if EA does nothing to resolve what was advertised, I'm prepared to make a big stink of it all. But I have patience, I know things take time and work. We have no idea what's really involved in all this situation. But I do know this isn't right and should be resolved at some point. And this right here is just the beginning. Hopefully many others who read and agree to this, just bump the post! keep it as something important to us! Most likely they'll fix their other glitches on the bigger consoles than us first, but we shouldn't be neglected. If so, I'd like my money back and the time I've spent "trying" to enjoy myself with this game! Thanks to all who read and help with this cause. $60+ is alot to some of us. Thanks!
