Hey Madden Ultimate Team Community,
The team here at Tiburon wanted to take some time to provide you with a heads up on what to expect in the salary cap update that is scheduled to drop next week on Monday 1/27. The hope is this info better helps players prep for the LCQ ladder that starts the day after the update on 1/28 in the MUT Salary Cap mode.
New Cap Total
- Competitors can expect the total salary cap to increase from 925 to 1325
Why such a significant increase?
- A few weeks back we polled the community on what they would like to see the cap changed to for the start of the MCS LCQ ladder. With over 1600 votes more than 50% of the field voted for a CAP that was “Over 1300”. Though this cap increase goes beyond our normal cap update cadence we figured “why not give the majority what they want for the start of the LCQ ladder and see how it goes?”. It is important to note the team will be monitoring feedback on this cap change closely so we can address any balance issues in the cap update that is scheduled to take place on 2/28 which is around the halfway point of the LCQ ladder.
Cap changes being made to certain abilities
- Secure Tackler increased from 8 cap to 10 cap
- Tackle Supreme increased from 12 cap to 14 cap
- Dashing Deadeye increased from 20 cap to 40 cap
- No Look Deadeye increased from 20 cap to 35 cap
- Fastbreak increased from 25 cap to 60 cap
- Hot Route Master increased from 58 cap to 65 cap
- Escape Artist increased from 60 cap to 70 cap
- Focused Kicker decreased from 20 cap to 10 cap
- Pin N Pull Guru decreased from 30 cap to 20 cap
- Spin Cycle decreased from 35 cap to 30 cap
- Grab N Go decreased from 999 cap to 35 cap
- Route Apprentice increased from 45 to 65
- Enforcer increased from 30 to 35
- QB Playmaker increased from 110 to 125
- Roaming Deadeye increased from 35 to 65
Though we will do our best to stay consistent with the information above please remember that these updates are always subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.
