I just started to have this issue. I logged in maybe 5 min before it started happening. But I closed the app to refresh for the new sims 4 updates. Now it refuses to work. it logged me in but then none of my games showed up. I restarted it and currently, it's not working again.
I currently just starting having this issue, I logged out to reset my EA app, tried to log in and now I get the error message. I'm assuming it's because of the sims update, maybe it's overloaded.
This issue is also occurring for me, kind of frustrating, I was really looking forward to the new update.
Did you do anything specific to fix it?

Same, supposedly someone got it working with Admin mode but * that I am not giving EA elevated permissions.
Don't bother. I tried it and it didn't work. I've also tried updating windows and restarting my router. Nothing's worked so far.

Also getting the issue, Ive restarted my computer and my app and it wont let me past the login but my husband is able to get in just fine
Same here. Trying to launch Fallen Order from Steam but it keeps getting hung up on the EA app portion. Login did not go as planned.
Yup I am getting the same issue, why did the Origin App get forceply deleted and changed to EA? I have tried linking my google account and loging through there, my email, EA ID and even my phone number. And each time it says login did not go as planned and won't let me open the EA App itself.
I’m having the same issue. It’s showing the login didn’t go as planned “we couldn’t log you in because the network failed to do its network thing. Try again in a few minutes”
After it let me log in, my sims games are no longer in my library.
restarted, and back to the login didn’t go as planned error.

@SekiroDadaFrom what it looks like, the Sims 4 is causing most of this with a new update. 2042 has had the free-to-play event ongoing for at least a day or two now.
