Re: Madden 21 franchise mode game crashes after trying to end game

Ps4, 

only the controller is plugged into the usb slot,

no external hard drive, 

The latest software update is installed,

I don’t use cloud storage,

I do not use a custom gamer tag,

The crash does not happen if the ps4 is completely disconnected from the internet prior to starting madden 21, not just the franchise game.  This is exactly how it happened before as well. 

I'm having the same issue since the latest update as everyone above; Crash happens every time at the end of a franchise game. Sounds like it's due to slow simming, which I do on defense and play offense only

Geez guys can’t you fix anything. Downloaded this mornings patch 1.17 & boom I’m not getting any of my XP in franchise wtf? Did y’all forget how to count? This crap needs to be fixed

I have a PS4. I play Franchise , exclusively. I don’t play any other game modes. 

after I have finished a game on Franchise , wether I’ve simmed (fast or slow) or actually spent my time playing the entire game , the screen turns blue and “Error Code CE-34878-0” pops up , crashing the entire game. When I return , the game I’ve just spent my time playing is unplayed. This makes the game unplayable for me.  It is LITERALLY , without a smidgeon of exaggeration , every single game that I play in which it crashes. (Quick unrelated note , I REALLY wish I didn’t have to have psn to do start today , the start this week feature , especially since I like to control multiple users and I NEVER play online against other humans , completely unrelated though).      

 I really wish I didn’t have to stop playing this game until you guys feel like fixing the issue. 

Totally agree I’m the same way. As soon as I get a franchise going that I like, EA makes a patch and games don’t get saved and it ends up ruining the game for me.

Same here. And it keeps crashing for offline franchise... it definitely needs to be fixed.

They’ll wait til the next scheduled patch they promised us before it gets fixed. How do I progress player in my franchise if I don’t get any XP?

Yea they break the game with every update but have NO PROBLEM PUTTING A BASKETBALL PLAYER FROM A COUNTRY THAT DOESNT EVEN HAVE AMERICAN FOOTBALL ON THE GAME😒 I don’t see why they disrespect us like this and I don’t see why we stand for it. 

That whole “you can’t even play it until we fix it in January and even then , based on our history , we’ll break something else” thing gives me real ‘your mom telling you to put down the game and play something else until the next one comes out in 2001 on the PS2’ vibes. And I don’t like it.

@EA_Blueberry are you gonna allow me to play game or not. Cause y’all still haven’t fixed it. I literally can’t play it. 

EA will have us wait until Monday... wouldn’t want their game working over the weekend 🤦🏼‍♂️

EA... I want to yell at the little football players on my tv but I can’t until you fix the bug... 

They’re to busy rolling around in our money

Found a work-around until EA gets their act together; disconnect the PS4 entirely from the internet. Game doesn't crash afterwards.

If you disconnect you can’t play on their lovely cloud
