4k 30fps lock (plus mouse click trick) got me through another game but finally caught an error message that booted me out during a cutscene.
The 2nd pic is a graphics glitch in the team names/logos right before that particular crash.
Final edit for the night: 4k30p got me through another Face of the Franchise game. 1440p60p crashed, so it’s not just about under powering your hardware. Mouse click for “Press any button” still seems to decrease crashing significantly. *shrug*
I wanted to make a separate post with my final solution. I've been able to play several games in a row in Face of the Franchise without any issues at 4k60p by setting the Process Priority to "Realtime" (in Task Manager although I use a program called System Explorer to do so). You may want to Alt+Tab in between games to double check the setting and manually change it back to Realtime as I've experienced graphical issues (play art disappearing) when I tried to play 2 games in a row without changing the Process Priority again.
Hopefully EA drops a patch soon. This is beyond frustrating. I can't even get past the loading screen.
Changing priority makes zero difference on my pc.
Sorry to hear that. Have you gone into Nvidia Control Panel and 3D settings and add Madden 21.exe to there?
Try unplugging your game pad when you boot up the game and plug it back in after you get to the menu maybe? Also disable all FPS counters, overclocks, etc (if you haven’t tried already).
Also try turning off Origin in-game overlay (right click on Madden 21 in your game library to view preferences and disable overlay, the main method to turn it off doesn’t actually work).

Hey, PC Madden players.
Quick update. The team is aware of these reports and are looking into it. Please continue to share your Dxdiag reports which will help us out and any workaround fixes you've stumbled across with that have been helping you avoid freezing/crashes. We'll continue to update this thread with more information as we hear it. We apologize this is happening to you at launch and appreciate you bearing with us. Nice to see that nothing has really changed in the Madden series. EA still launching unfinished, bug ridden games that the paying public have to help sort for them. And what will we get for our suffering? Your Trial period has expired, buy the full version when you only played for a fraction of the 10 hours. Great advert EA.
Thx for the update. Even with my workaround to fully get through a game or 2 it will inevitably crash soon after.
- Eventualcrowd165 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Conklin66 Is it doing that for you only at 4K? So far I've been able to play hours, level 25 now, even leaving it on when I am doing other stuff, but my resolution is a lot lower than that.

Keep doin' you, EA 😃Is this really the last update we've gotten on this issue? it's been over 6 days since the last post by an EA community manager and it clearly hasn't been fixed yet. I've yet to even get past the loading screen. So frustrating, and from a multi-billion dollar company with 1000's of employees, it's just sad...
