WiFi is really a killer of any meaningful online multiplayer gaming and should be avoided no matter what!
We still hear many players complaining about loosing the connection all the time to the game server online, and they typically always blame someone else. But the culprit is indeed their WiFI connection which despite having a great high line speed is de-facto not stable in being connected every single micro second. Because that is simply have the network protocol is for WiFI connections. Their line drops are just standard and nothing unusual or much really one can control do do much about.
But the fix which can be perfectly used if some players find the distance/placement of their router is too far away from their gaming station is to use a Power Adapter for their Network Connection. These are perfectly fine now to use, as long as the router and the game station is within the same fuse area on the power supply side. And these Powerline Adaptors are also now down in reasonable price despite also now supporting very high line speeds.
So can strongly recommend getting such a pair hooked up to replace the WiFi connection, which obviously does not work for multiplayer online gaming.
