I have had this issue as well. I am currently in a connected franchise week 1 and was unable to purchase any traits. I had the exact same error.

  • I am sorry but this answer @EA_Barry is not acceptable. Please let me explain...

    There are MILLIONS of players waiting for this to be fixed. It is ruining "thousands" of Connected Franchises in Madden 18 and I would go as far to say that it could be starting to negatively impact sales which I believe would be alarming to Electronic Arts. This issue is clearly on the "back burner" and not a top priority for EA right now and it's frankly ridiculous and infuriating to me. This is a massive issue that needs attention as soon as possible. You are doing the best you can I'm sure @EA_Barry but you gave the same response we received a week ago. Its time to take this further however possible. If you are a representative for EA then you must try harder and get us a better answer. I would like to see a patch within 2 days at the MOST. This should be the one issue that everyone at EA is focused on the most right now and clearly it is not. 

    Please take my advice into strong consideration. I would like to know how else we can press the issue as well. If there is a phone number, I will call it.

    Why is this still not fixed? I'm about to just return the game and stop buying EA products. This is ridiculous.

  • @EA_Barry I have been afraid to use any more XP on my player until I had confirmation that it had been fixed because I have lost so much already by doing it. I am testing this on another franchise and as of just a moment ago it seems that the XP is working as it should, but Ive only been testing for a few players. Hopefully this is fixed but I will remain cautious on my most important franchise until Im 100% sure.

    Absolutely no change whatsoever. Makes it even more frustrating that you're lying saying that someone is telling you it is fixed. Definitely not the EA quality or experience I've had in the past. Sad.

    I'm not a developer, so this may be coming from ignorance, but how is this an issue a month after release?  We're talking about a feature that worked flawlessly in the last two versions of the game.  Surely this is an easy workaround.

    A lot of players don't give a damn about co-op and H2H modes and play CFM almost exclusively.  Considering CFM is the bread and butter of the Madden franchise, shouldn't EA be treating a game-breaking issue as a priority?  

    I hate ripping on devs when there's a bug, but it really seems like EA is neglecting a sizable portion of its fanbase over what is perceived to be an easy fix...

    I don't think it's unreasonable for EA to provide a swift resolution to this issue, or at the very least provide a timeframe as to when we should expect a fix.

  • My guess is EA is having some issues tracking this particular bug down. I am the commish for my cloud CFM league and not a single member (6 of us) in my league has reported this issue to me. It doesn't mean its not there, we just have not run into it. EA could be having the issue of duplicating and isolating the bug.
