"The team has successfully figured out the cause and is planning to push a fix via a title update in the near future."
@EA_Blueberry I appreciate your continued efforts into working with a team to get this issue resolved. But when you say in the 'near future" how long of an ETA can that be? Every week solo battles is up a mountain of new people are experiencing this issue. We are not test dummy's in a laboratory, we've all lost millions of coins in rewards, and the frustration continues to grow with some of your top leaderboard people getting glitched week in and week out. From this week on, I refuse to play the mode until you push this patch out. I have been top 10 every week until your game decided to glitch and I lost top rewards twice already. I can't stress enough how much time these solo battles take, it's an absurd amount of time to get top 10 week in and week out. I understand this issue may not effect everyone, but the fact that you guys leave the mode open for people to continue to get glitched without any communication w/the whole community is beyond me. I'm trying to hold my frustration back, but as community managers, the issue should have been communicated via Tweet/GMM and it wasn't and still yet has never been focused. On top of all that, compensation isn't even guaranteed for an issue caused by your end. Once again, I'm not frustrated at you, I'm frustrated at everything about this issue, including compensation not being guaranteed.
Honestly @EA_Blueberry, the isolating of accounts should not be that big of an issue. This was totally the fault of Madden's tech and if the people affected are not giving compensation, then they (we) will be the ones getting punished for your screwup. In a situation like this, EA should be willing to take the loss. If you can't isolate the affected accounts, might a propose a solution like this:
For top 51-100 players:
- Check the leaderboards for the past 2-3 months (8-12 SB cycles).
- For every player that has made top 51-100 during that period, check to see how many times they DIDN'T make top 100 over the course of that time frame.
- If they made top 100 5 times or more during that timeframe, but didn't make it in another week or weeks, compensate them with 76-100 rewards for however many times they missed out with the maximum being 3 rewards.
For example, if a player had made top 100 10 times during that time frame, but missed out twice, they would get 200k coins, 200 trophies, 4 HM packs, 4 MF packs, 4 RZ packs, and 6 TD packs.
For top 50 players:
- Check the leaderboards for the past 2-3 months
- For every player that made top 50 more than 3 times, but missed top 100 in other weeks, compensate them with 51-75 rank rewards for every week they missed with a maximum of 3 rewards.
I'm not sure what you would do for players that have been missing out on legend rewards that don't go for top 100 since leaderboards don't go past 100, but perhaps something like a general one time legend reward for everyone else would be in order. Or advertise that you'll give rewards to anyone who can show screenshot/video proof of the glitch occurring to them. This WOULD have been a solution for everyone including top 100 players, but since EA's social media accounts have said precisely NOTHING on this matter, nobody could proactively get screenshots of what happened to them.
I understand this solution isn't perfect. That's a LOT of rewards to be handing out and a lot of people are going to get compensated who didn't experience the glitch. Also, a lot of people like me, Chief's or Cyclops would be under compensated. But if you aren't able to isolate the affected accounts, something like this would be the only moral thing to do.
Its honestly kinda crazy when you think about just how much of people's time has been affected. Let's say that on all platforms, this glitch has affected 1000 people. Let's say that those 1000 people invested an average of 8 hours per week. Let's also say that this glitch has been going on for about 3 months. All of those are pretty conservative numbers in my estimation. But if those were the numbers, that means that you've wasted 96,000 hours of your customers' time in 3 months. That is 4000 days or nearly 11 YEARS worth of time wasted for absolutely nothing. Tell that to the higher ups just to let them know how freaking frustrated we all are.

@NastyBunch1thank you for investing a lot of time to write your thoughts here! I'm one of those who were affected (in my case, in M21 I had 2 DNFs caused by this '13th game'-bug and 2 DNFs caused by the 'not playing with my team resulting in a DNF anyways' so far. I'm roughly on the same path as last year, which ended with 29 DNFs in M20. yes, 29!! Accept the first 2-3 weeks I always qualified for the top 100 (sometimes top 10) on PC without facing a DNF. I calculated that the amount I lost due to server disconnect DNFs was about 9 million coins in Madden 20...
since in M21 I recognized even more bugs that affected my rewards in different modes (disconnects in H2H, Solo Drafts ending after one win, not all Solo Challenges are unlocked in Most Feared etc. etc.), I'm really frustrated that there is a bug every week (or every release of new content) that requires contacting EA help.anyways, given all the bugs that affect Solo Battles I thought a lot about how to improve Solo Battles (I posted a lot on that here: Solo Battles - Feedback - Page 2 — EA Forums, if anybody is interested). if I was responsible for designing Solo Battles, I would ...
- replace weekly Solo Battles by daily events: one Solo Battle game against a very, very strong team, and one against a mediocre team. every Solo Battle game is counted and rewarded separately. this would reduce the frustration of an unlucky game (or in the worst case a DNF) since it would not affect (i.e. reduce) rewards of other Solo Battle games (e.g. of the respective week).
- remove rewards for the top 100 leaderboard since this leaderboard most likely just rewards those players who found the best way to use glitch plays. instead I would announce the winner of a giveaway in Good Morning Madden who is chosen from the daily top 100 leaderboards (for each platform separately)
- make the rewards more balanced / linear. I would say 1 coin per 3 Solo Battle points on All Madden difficulty, while the ratio 'coin per Solo Battle' point drops for every level of difficulty. if you beat the very strong opponent I'd add a chance to win either a TD pack or Redzone pack (i.e. if you are lucky, you get a TD pack, if not you get at least a Redzone pack). if you beat the mediocre opponent, I'd add the chance to win either a Midfield pack (if you are lucky) or a Hail Mary pack. in order to increase the incentive to play on higher difficulty levels, I would make the odds of winning the better packs dependent on the difficulty level too (for instance, the odds for winning a TD pack is (e.g.) 20% on All Madden difficulty, while it is just 5% for Rookies). and in addition, 5 trophies for winning against the weaker opponent and 10 for winning against the very strong opponent.

Solid write-up @NastyBunch1. I really don't think this is too much to ask for EA to do. The compensation is not something I will give up on as I have spent 20+ hours to earn rewards that would have taken me a max of 4. I am livid with the amount of time I have wasted on this mode and even more frustrated with the lack of clarity that comes from EA. I truly wish I could take the approach with these vague answers and utilize them in my professional life. Unfortunately, that would earn me a slip with a nice shade of pink. This issue has been going on for over a month and we still refuse to acknowledge it appropriately. Let alone through the widespread avenues that your company possesses. We just had a weekend full of H2H disconnects and guess how long that took them to acknowledge. 3-4 days! Post this through one of the mediums that you have at your disposal and that would limit some of our frustration. You're never going to make everybody happy, but this would be a step in the right direction. As you've probably guessed, I will not be happy until we have received the rewards that were STOLEN from us. I fully expect to be walking around with a forever curled lip. Surprise me!

@EA_BlueberryI just finished my 11th solo battle and got a "0" battle score screen after the game. This is usually what happens when I am about to get the glitch after I finish the 12th game, but it has not happened yet. I'm guessing that there isn't anything I can do to resolve this right?
I don't know... maybe I'll get lucky and won't get the glitch.
- Neo_Novalis5 years agoHero+@NastyBunch1 I assume I got the same "0" screen in the last 2-3 weeks.

2nd time posting in this forum but 4th week the 13th game has not let me play. Photos below show I’d easily make top 100. 25,583 average per game this week. 2nd photo is scores from last week to show what area I’d be in. I’ve easily lost over a million in coins. Take a closer look at my first photo. I wonder if all of those other 12 game completed people got the glitch. What’s the percentage of players going thru this? My tactic is to always play all my Friday games in a row so I never leave the solo battle screen which used to work but not this time. We gonna get the cure for this bug before Covid? I’m taking bets
