Honestly @EA_Blueberry, the isolating of accounts should not be that big of an issue. This was totally the fault of Madden's tech and if the people affected are not giving compensation, then they (we) will be the ones getting punished for your screwup. In a situation like this, EA should be willing to take the loss. If you can't isolate the affected accounts, might a propose a solution like this:
For top 51-100 players:
- Check the leaderboards for the past 2-3 months (8-12 SB cycles).
- For every player that has made top 51-100 during that period, check to see how many times they DIDN'T make top 100 over the course of that time frame.
- If they made top 100 5 times or more during that timeframe, but didn't make it in another week or weeks, compensate them with 76-100 rewards for however many times they missed out with the maximum being 3 rewards.
For example, if a player had made top 100 10 times during that time frame, but missed out twice, they would get 200k coins, 200 trophies, 4 HM packs, 4 MF packs, 4 RZ packs, and 6 TD packs.
For top 50 players:
- Check the leaderboards for the past 2-3 months
- For every player that made top 50 more than 3 times, but missed top 100 in other weeks, compensate them with 51-75 rank rewards for every week they missed with a maximum of 3 rewards.
I'm not sure what you would do for players that have been missing out on legend rewards that don't go for top 100 since leaderboards don't go past 100, but perhaps something like a general one time legend reward for everyone else would be in order. Or advertise that you'll give rewards to anyone who can show screenshot/video proof of the glitch occurring to them. This WOULD have been a solution for everyone including top 100 players, but since EA's social media accounts have said precisely NOTHING on this matter, nobody could proactively get screenshots of what happened to them.
I understand this solution isn't perfect. That's a LOT of rewards to be handing out and a lot of people are going to get compensated who didn't experience the glitch. Also, a lot of people like me, Chief's or Cyclops would be under compensated. But if you aren't able to isolate the affected accounts, something like this would be the only moral thing to do.
Its honestly kinda crazy when you think about just how much of people's time has been affected. Let's say that on all platforms, this glitch has affected 1000 people. Let's say that those 1000 people invested an average of 8 hours per week. Let's also say that this glitch has been going on for about 3 months. All of those are pretty conservative numbers in my estimation. But if those were the numbers, that means that you've wasted 96,000 hours of your customers' time in 3 months. That is 4000 days or nearly 11 YEARS worth of time wasted for absolutely nothing. Tell that to the higher ups just to let them know how freaking frustrated we all are.
