Try disabling any software that has an overlay, for example Curse, Discord etc.
Let us know if that helps, thanks.
Unfortunately, shutting down other programs didn't help. The full error is:
DirectX function
"m_output->FindClosestMatchingMode(&matchMode,&m_outputMode, m_renderer-> getDxgiDevice()" failed with
DXGI_ERROR_INVALID_CALL ("The application provided invalid
parameter data; this must be debugged and fixed before the
application is released,") GPU: "AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380
Series", Driver: 20.1.3
(19.50.15.01-200117a1-351300C-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin2020)
Can anyone give me a hint? Some kind of conflict between the card/driver and the software...but I need some help.

- Check that you are running the game at the native resolution of your display
- Check if not running any other software that may have an overlay helps; Discord overlay, other streaming software etc.
If those steps do not help, running the below AMD Cleanup Utility and then reinstalling your video drivers may help:

Do post your results, thanks.
Thanks for your help Barry, unfortunately, I'm still bricked. I get the error as soon as I load up the game. I have run the cleanup utility and re-installed drivers. I don't have this issue with any other game. There seems to be a conflict between my card and Madden 2020. If I run the game with no drivers installed (ie video card not recognized) I can actually get to the splash screen and beyond. Unfortunately, it runs so bad at that point that it's seemingly impossible to even get to the menu screen.
I can't change the resolution in game because I can't get that far. Any other ideas? This sucks...

Sorry, I missed your previous post.
A couple of things from your Dxdiag:
- There may be important Windows Updates available for you, check for and install any available updates.
- Your CPU is somewhat below spec in terms of general performance, you can compare your CPU and the minspec using the links below.
