Too many interceptions and interception slider is broken
EA definitely made improvements to the gameplay this year but the extremely high interception rates that occur in the gameplay render it unplayable. It is extremely common for both sides to have 5 or more interceptions on both sides whether it is a user v user game or user v CPU. Obviously anyone that knows football knows this is highly unrealistic. I just spoke with technical support on the phone and was shocked that they were not aware of this issue. On Twitter if you type in “Madden 23 interceptions” or go on Operation Sports forum you will find an endless number of players complaining about this issue.
then the problem is compounded by the fact that interception slider doesn’t work. Whether you have it at zero, 50, or 100 you will get the same result. An highly escalated interception rate compared to any actual football game. People on Twitter and the OS forum are complaining about this as well because it would be the only avenue us users would typically have to fix this broken aspect of the game.
Defenders basically have an uncanny ability to catch the ball that often exceeds the wide receivers. There’s videos posted of defenders warping to make some of the craziest interceptions when they are out of position and have been beaten. In real life defenders drop a lot of “potential interceptions,” and many of the passes should either be getting swatted by the defender or they should fail to make the catch.
The game is actually a huge improvement over Madden 22 in many ways so I wouldn’t want the passing mechanics changed too much. Simply having defenders fail to successfully make so many interceptions and fixing the sliders would be great.

Same issues it's basically unplayable! Disappointing because the game is a major improvement. It doesn't matter if it's user vs. Cpu, user vs. User, or cpu vs. Cpu. Always avg of 4-5 ints for each qb (David Mills threw 8 to me in a franchise game and 3 were pick 6's.) I'm constantly disappointed year after year with the issues this game always has every year, been playing Madden since '94 and have never been one of the Anti-EA guys but I think I'm ready for a different developer to get their shot at a sim style nfl game, as EA doesn't make a true Sim-style it's arcade. The next game I have where there's a cornucopia of Int's I'll attach a Screenshot.
