How do I make my phone or iPad a trusted device?

Community ManagerA device is trusted only if you have previously played the game in question on that device.
I've been playing Simpson Tapped Out for years and about a year ago, I have to constantly sign in to play the game. Before I signed in once and my device remembered my account info. Now it's a pain in the butt every time I open up the app to play the game. How do I set my phone as a trusted device? I've only played the game on my phone so it doesn't make sense that the app can save my account info to play.
What the heck do I have to do to not log in every time I open the app to play? I'm sick of getting verification codes.
