Hey @ruger76.
Do you have Madden installed on an external drive, or is it using the hard drive that was included in your PS4?

Mine is on an external but it occasionally goes past the loading screen just to not allow me into any game mode on the home screen.

Hey everyone,
It's been a couple days since I've seen any new posts come through on this thread. Are you still getting stuck at the same spot? If so, can you try starting up Madden NFL 21 with a different PSN ID on the same console, if possible?
Let me know if you're also running into the same issue with a different account, or if that one is able to start up the game.
Thanks!
/Kent
- 5 years ago@EA_Kent I don't have another account on my xbox to try it on unfortunately. I have tried re installing the game both from the EA play app and from the Microsoft store and i get the same result everytime. I've been trying for a week not to play this game and have wasted hours of my trial trying to get it to work
- 5 years ago@EA_Kent Yes, I’m still getting stuck on the same “Showtime” loading screen. I’ve used different PSN accounts on the same PlayStation and neither worked. Both accounts are on the 10 hr trial

Can you uninstall the game on your external, unplug it, and then check the internal to see if you have any save files there. Try installing the game and EA Play app on your internal drive and then attempt to launch the game.
Please let me know if this helps.- 5 years ago

Please let me know if this helps. It doesn't.
Mine is internal and doesn't work. Exact same issues mentioned in the posts in this thread. Loads to "Showtime" and stays there. Twice I've randomly gotten to the main menu only to not be able to launch any game mode. 4 hours of the trial done already. Not a chance I spend a penny on this game!
- 5 years ago@EA_Blueberry This did not help. My madden 21 gets stuck on showtime both when downloaded on a external and internal device.
- 5 years ago@EA_Blueberry Many people buy EA Play strictly for trials. It’s pathetic how long the trial hasn’t been working for. And still EA play is being promoted as a way to try out new games. What a joke. What a waste of time and money.

I understand this has to be terribly frustrating and not a great experience. We've alerted our teams here on this. One last thing if you're willing to help us out, are you able to get in by changing the DNS on your console?
We witnessed a similar issue in Madden NFL 20 and this was the fix. See this thread below.
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Madden-NFL-20/Madden-20-won-t-load-past-intro/td-p/8100720Some players were able to get passed this by clearing the saved game data when managing their game under My Games & Apps on Xbox and deleting any save files locally/cloud (for either console).
Try launching the game through the EA Play app rather than in My Games & Apps.
