Mine is on an external but it occasionally goes past the loading screen just to not allow me into any game mode on the home screen.
Can you uninstall the game on your external, unplug it, and then check the internal to see if you have any save files there. Try installing the game and EA Play app on your internal drive and then attempt to launch the game.
Please let me know if this helps.

I understand this has to be terribly frustrating and not a great experience. We've alerted our teams here on this. One last thing if you're willing to help us out, are you able to get in by changing the DNS on your console?
We witnessed a similar issue in Madden NFL 20 and this was the fix. See this thread below.
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Madden-NFL-20/Madden-20-won-t-load-past-intro/td-p/8100720Some players were able to get passed this by clearing the saved game data when managing their game under My Games & Apps on Xbox and deleting any save files locally/cloud (for either console).
Try launching the game through the EA Play app rather than in My Games & Apps.- 5 years ago@EA_Blueberry yes I just tried all of it Its still not loading all the way
- 5 years ago@EA_Blueberry I deleted all Madden 21 data on my PS4. Then I changed my DNS to primary: 8.8.8.8 secondary: 8.8.4.4 like suggested. I then started madden 21 through the EA play app. The outcome didn’t change. I was met by a message that says “You must be connected to EA servers in order to play the Madden 21 trial.
- 5 years agoI change dns, reinstalling internal drive, nothing fix this error, The EA servers are not available and stuck in Showtime

I’ll try this when I get home and reinstall the game. I was trying to decide between Madden and Fifa. Fifa trail worked Madden didn’t so I bought Fifa.
