Hey, Madden Community.
We are currently aware of players having trouble getting past the loading screen or attempting to play a game mode at the menu for the Madden NFL 21 Play First Trial. We're asking you to provide the following information to help aide the team in discovering what's causing this to happen, as it is not impacting all EA Play members.
Please provide us:
- Gamertag/PSN ID
- Platform you play on
- Last time you attempted to launch the game (date & time/timezone)
- Are you stuck at the loading screen or unable to select any game modes at the menu

@EA_Blueberry if the fix is ready, why would you make thousands of people wait until the next title update when you can just roll out an incremental update for this issue? This is literally baffling me that you're will to lose so many customers due to a bug and now that you have the fix, we're still in a waiting pattern. This should be P0

MINI SOLUTION FOR "RESTRICTED ACCESS FROM EA SERVER" PROBLEM
Update for those who have restricted access from the game when start up and playing from steam, for me it is an account problem. I'm not sure what's wrong with my account honestly haven't done anything to it until my recent purchase of EA Play.
So we know that this is gonna be the Superbowl weekend and it's free.
I made a new account on Steam and Origin, well lo and behold I was able to play the game, I got into the menu.
So this problem for those who have "Restricted access from EA server" you can try the game by creating new accounts for both clients if you haven't uninstall the game. I'm only playing this game for Face Of The Franchise honestly so I'm sure a lot of you wanna try it too.

Edit: I think that the problem is with owning the trial somehow in my theory for steam EA play but I'm not quite sure. So make most of your 3 days free play. - 5 years ago
This is ridiculous I am paying for a service that entitles me 10 Hour Trial to EA Games which includes Madden 21. This doesnt work for me since I downloaded it (I get the same error as everyone else so cant even get to the menu). I logged a ticket with an agent who told me the issue has been logged in the last few days which is clearly false considering there is a 60 page ticket on here. I asked them to upgrade my Play account to Pro for a limited period of time so I can trial Madden 21 as I am entitled to as part of the service I currently pay 3.99 for.
They arent able to escalate to a manager, they dont have a complaints team who can look into this. Their agents have no ability to satisfy an unhappy customer. The easiest workaround is to upgrade peoples account to Pro for 3 or 7 days etc. Yes it would lose EA money but in turn it would improve customer satisfaction but also put pressure on the dev's to come up with a fix. But ultimately they are losing the chance to earn even more money as the trial should be a marketing tool to encourage people to buy the full game!! By giving temporary access to Pro to workaround the issue would make customers happy but could also mean they make more money because people might want to keep the pro subscription or pay for the full game. The agent couldnt even guarantee that my complaint will be responded too.
I understand the agent cant fix the root cause for the issue but surely they must have a workaround other than you need to wait for a fix for an issue that has been outstanding since October!? They cant even offer any goodwill gesture. They would rather their customers who pay for their services be unhappy and frustrated and then give their agents any ability to help their customers.
Just really bad customer service all around. Telling people to wait 3 months for a service they are entitled to is awful.

This has been going on so long and after reading EAs responses and customers issues, I have concluded there is no fix in the near future and they don't care about this issue.
I lost my 10 hours of trial play somehow just loading it up and trying to get it to work 5 different times after a couple of updates, when I know I didn't spend 10 hours in the menu or the intro.
They should just reset everyone's account and it's a simple thing to do but they won't.
Sorry for the rant, but this is annoying and bad customer support.
