Unable to Sprint but can show playart

Hi @Omgdonutzz, 

When you have the chance can you try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to test and see if the same issue is still happening? If there is something else running on the PC that could be interfering with the inputs that might help to get around it.

Hey Kent,

Thanks for your response, I completed a clean boot with the instructions from Microsoft here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

On boot I started origin and launched Madden 21 and still experienced the issue with being able to display play art with the right trigger but still unable to boost with any player on the field. Clean boot was not something I had tried when troubleshooting on my own so thanks for that suggestion. If you have any other ideas that may resolve this problem please let me know.

Thanks for giving it a shot!

Do you have any other input devices connected to your PC aside from your mouse, keyboard, and controller? If so, can you try disconnecting the other devices to see if that makes any difference at all? I've seen some cases where the game is taking inputs from other devices, which can cause similar issues.

Hey Kent,

The only things that I have plugged into the computer are my wireless adapter, keyboard/mouse and my xbox one controller. I did reinstall madden 19 over the weekend to see if sprint would work in an older version but no luck there either. Let me know if you have any further ideas or need me to pull logs or something.

Please see the DxDiag I have attached. I did do a full fresh reinstall of windows today and everything is up to date, unfortunately the issue still persists.

Are you connecting your controllers wirelessly, or have you been using a USB cable?

The controllers are connected via USB cable, I've tried a few different cables and USB ports on my computer as well.

Hmm, gotcha. 

Out of curiosity, what happens if you play with just mouse & keyboard? Does the sprint key work without any issues? I'm wondering if this would still be happening with the controller removed from the equation.

Hey Kent,

So I think your suspicions were right here, I am able to sprint when only my keyboard and mouse are plugged in. So it looks to be some weird driver issue with controllers on my computer and how they interact with madden. Its weird that it will show playart on a controller but not sprint when they use the same buttons.
