We wanted to take a moment to address the community feedback/concerns regarding Limited Time (LTD) Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro. Our teams looked into the concern and identified that LTD Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro was available in packs; however, he was not available in the 82+ OVR Super Bowl Past Player Training Currency Store Offer. Some Training Store Currency Offers operate differently from packs and this was identified yesterday evening.
We understand that when LTD Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro was released, some players may have used their Training Currency on the 82+ OVR Super Bowl Past Player Training Currency Store Offer expecting a chance at getting this player item. Since LTD Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro was not available for this specific Training Currency Store Offer, we will be granting any player that purchased this Training Currency Store Offer a unique 96 OVR NAT Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro. Please Note: This is for anyone that purchased an 82+ OVR Super Bowl Past Player Training Currency Store Offer when LTD Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro was available in packs.
Things to note about the 96 OVR NAT Super Bowl Past Mel Renfro:
- This item will be NAT and is neither Auctionable or Tradeable
- This item will have a unique quicksell value of 500 coins
- This item cannot be used in sets
- This items can be used in the Mel Renfro Power Up
We would also like to let players know the following:
- The team will need some time to get a list of all the unique players that purchased the Training Currency Store Offer (82+ OVR Super Bowl Past Player). When that list has been identified, the grant for the 96 OVR NAT Super Bowl Renfro will begin rolling out. We expect to have that done by this Friday, January 31st
- Going forward, Limited Time (LTD) Super Bowl Players will be included in the 82+ OVR Super Bowl Player (Past/Present) Training Currency Store Offers

Not everyone is guaranteed to receive this item even though you purchased that specific pack. This item was not a guaranteed pull from the store offer, but rather a chance to get it. The team identified an issue where the item was not available in packs at all during a specific time period, thus players did not even have a chance at all to pull it. The players that opened up packs during that affected time-frame were eligible for a make-good.
If you have not received the Mel Renfro yet, this means you were opening up the packs during the time-frames in which the item was available and you unfortunately just didn't pull him.
