Why can’t I play Madden 23 on Steam Deck

Hi. Recently when I bought madden I expected to be able to play on my steam deck wherever I wanted. Instead I’ve found I cannot even get into the game. I don’t understand why EA can’t just exclude the launcher so the game simply launches. This is a huge let down for football fans and a more of a letdown to Gamers.
