Why do player's bodies look super jacked in Madden 2023?

Why does every player's body look jacked up on Madden 2023?

EA if y'all want to hire me to make the players look like they do in real life I'll be glad to do that for y'all because y'all never I repeat never have the players looking like they do in real life on the game I always have to go in and fix how the players look in real life and said how they look in the game you'll always have the players helmets wrong accessories wrong you know it's just ridiculous I have to do this with every single madden I get

And where are the new Riddell helmets? I hate to say this but y'all really do need competition and we need some other football games *snip*  it's really frustrating because I've been playing Madden since Madden 90 came out

(CM: Edited to remove offending portion and merged posts shared in a row. Check out this post for tips on how to edit and add more to a post.)

  • The fix is to go into edit roster and change the players weight up a pound or down a pound. You will see the body model snap back to normal as soon as you change the weight. Just remember this when NFL 2K releases! Madden about to lose half of its fanbase and deservingly so!

  • You know what is pathetic? How players in past madden games have better shaped bodies than now. That shows that EA just wants us to buy the next gen  versions of the game instead of the old one. Some people don’t have next gen consoles so that’s a bummer. I found one solution which is to edit the weight of each player but that would take an hour almost. Unless you have a pc, you would have to do that or upgrade, which I think no one wants. I’m even serious if EA keeps doing this, I’m never gonna buy a madden ever again and I’m sure not many other people would either anymore. They don’t deserve the money when they don’t even put any detailing effort into the game.

Trust me, the players look like crap on the PS5 also. The linemen don’t look like they have shoulder pads on. The game on the PS5 is absolute trash. I wasted money on the PS5 thinking the game game would look different or be better but it’s not. And the sad part is you never hear a response about any of it until you get suspended for speaking you mind.

You can fix it by reducing the player weight by 1 and then taking it back up to their initial weight.  You will see most players bodies instantly transform.  Not perfect, but they look better than before.  The fact that you would have to do this for 1700+ players is way too time consuming for my taste.  This is something EA could do on their end much easier than us.  Anyone in that EA office who is editing/updating old gen knows these player models are much worse than 22's.  It really is infuriating.

    Hi @nichdenes,

Thanks for popping that up. I'm sure others will find it helpful so I've pinned it to the top of the thread. Good job. 🙂

I'll close this thread out from here to limit necroposting. We're all for feedback so if this is a topic readers would like to share more about, please feel free to open up a fresh new thread on it. It'd be great if you could add some images to highlight the proportions in-game versus IRL for example. Please, aim to keep things polite and constructive too.

    Thanks,

    EA_Lanna
