It doesn't make any sense that Next Gen is not coming to the PC for Madden 22. While not getting for the remainder of Madden 21 made some sense - not having it all for Madden 22 is inexcusable. The EA team had plenty of time to prepare to bring it to PC. Most computers capable of running Madden 21 would have no issue running the Madden 22 with the next gen abilities. So using the specs as a reason for no next gen doesn't work either.There has been no communication from EA regarding this and the PC fans deserve an answer and an explanation.

@EA_Blueberry I've cancelled my EA Play Pro because of EA's decision to shortchange PC players. There are other who've done the same thing. Tell your managers to check the cancellation logs. PC gamers aren't impressed at being considered second rate.Give us equal features and we'll gladly buy the game and resubscribe. We shouldn't be left to feel like we should be 'honored' that you even bothered to give us Madden 22. There's literally ZERO logic in taking away features from the PC version. It's been said time and time again that next gen consoles are basically PCs. You literally had to rip out the features in order for them to not appear in the PC version. If PC won't ever be equal, then you may as well just not even bother making a pc version.

@EA_Blueberry It really does suck that you gotta take the brunt of the heat for this. I, along with many others, are very frustrated that no Next Gen features are coming to PC. Countless community members including Youtubers that are game changers, reddit users, and other forum members are confused by this since current PC specs are more than enough for it. While I thank you for relaying this info up to your higher ups, please do keep us informed on changes. I will purchase the game if the next gen features are brought to the game, even if that means in a mid season update like Madden 21 got on next gen consoles. This decision to cut content from the PC community is only going to hurt the sales of the game on this platform over time.

I need to know why? I've invested in EA PLAY Pro, and Madden 22 was a selling point. Now that it's been said to be the current gen version, but on PC, I'm disappointed.

For the same reason M21 wasn't I expect. Clearly, EASports regretted bothering bringing Madden back to pc at all and wish to discontinue it. As others have stated this isn't personal for you @EA_Blueberry and EA was making some great strides on the PC front.There was one major thing missing heading into Madden NFL 21 and that was a lack of crossplay. Had there been crossplay I would have been ecstatic, instead in order to play with most of my buddies I had to purchase the game for console. That was strike 1.Strikes 2&3 is this abomination of giving fully capable hardware a lackluster experience. My gaming rig has been running PS5 level quality for 3 years now and yet it won't be given the Next Gen experience. This was a calculated call by higher ups in EA that decided they don't like giving the game away to EA Play Pro subscribers and would rather push for everyone to buy the game on console.Well instead you won't get me buying this on console this year as I did last year even though I shouldn't have had to. But on top of it I have cancelled my EA Play Pro sub. I have no plans to support ANY EA game until we get cross play in applicable titles and the PC version of Madden receives the same treatment as the current gen consoles... yes they are now the current gen, not next gen.

Can anyone clarify what is gonna be missing in this "last gen" madden? In madden 21 i remember that consoles got an update that changed the movement in the game...Will we even be getting that?
I was gonna purchase a year of play pro for madden/BF but after hearing about the "last gen" news i decided to just purchase BF and skip madden this year, But if all that's gonna be missing is some cutscenes and menus...I might reconsider.
Can anyone clarify for me?, Thanks.

@Fingrpistols The Momentum System, all new presentation features are missing, Half time adjustments and detail stats, and more specific gameplanning all aren't in the last gen version. I'm not 100% sure about that last part being very different, but from what I've seen you only see total yards in game planning in last gen and in next gen you see left, middle, or right for something like rushing yards. isn't in the last gen version. Last Gen also doesn't get the movement changes, but I have seen new animations and all of the Franchise mode stuff is basically the same from what I've seen and the scouting update is coming to all versions in September if all things run smoothly. Soon after if not, but September is the target according to the devs.

For myself, I think the game has changed enough on last gen to warrant buying it if it comes on sale or Maybe subbing for a month or two of EA Play Pro and playing the full version of Madden 22 with that on PC (last gen version of course). If you plan on doing that, and your main mode is franchise mode, I'd wait until the scouting update, because the scouting update only works on brand new franchises according to the devs. I seriously hope that they bring next gen to PC next year on all of these games. I'd really like for them to do it before Madden 22's content cycle is over, but I'm not holding my breathe. If you have any other questions I can try and answer them, I've only played 19 hours or so lol.

At least we have the 2k football game to look forward to next year.

@EA_Blueberry Still no update on this I assume? I'm sure EA has heard the "Greedy corporation" slander emails enough, not that they every bothered to listen. So I won't continue on, besides I like most others on this thread, am looking forward to when 2K really puts the hurt on Maddens profit. We just want to be given the full game, not last years. Either this gets fixed or they won't have to worry about the PC fan base much longer because they'll all jump ship, or start torrenting it. Nobody likes to pay full price for a copy & paste game.

I have been a fan of the franchise since it started. I have even had Madden flu sick days on release. I play only on PC and missed the game when it abandoned us on computers. I returned and even subscribed yearly to Origin. Unfortunately my recent sub just re-upped for another year before I did my research. For a second year in a row we PC users are locked out of the next gen features. I understood last year with the new consoles and all...but again? Its like when they dumped the PC with the NHL franchise all over again. If I could get this year's sub back I would. Cancelling my sub and think I may look elsewhere for my gaming experiences. Pity I typically spend 300-500 on software titles alone. Unless they start delivering the PC better products it will no longer be here.

I cant believe I was duped into buying this game. You guys continue to disappoint your customers with absolutely head scratching decisions. Your answers are literally just "get me through this question" answers and provide little to no substance. All you are doing is pushing the ball down the road until eventually someone else can make a public statement saying were not getting anything until Madden 23 in which time you will basically just release a face lifted next gen madden 22 to us as Madden 23 and expect us to be happy. Literally the worst company ever to make video games.

I absolutely hope people take the time to get on twitter. Show the NFL that EA doesn't deserve this licensing agreement. Make them sweat losing the agreement and they will be forced to take us seriously. Stand together like last year. The PC last gen push was a slap in the face. What was added to franchise was mediocre at best. People are just currently happy that in years they finally have something new. But it wont last. People are gonna see through the illusion. Stand together again and topple this agreement and let someone who will take us seriously get it imo.
