Will the PS4 Version of madden 21 have cross gen play with the ps5 version?

So I have an online franchise with 5 friends in madden 21. We are all on PS4 but a few of us will be getting the ps5 at launch. What I’m wanting to know is will the users on ps5 still be able to play...

    @xxoddjobxx Short answer is no.

    Whoever is commissioner will move the league to next gen if they transfer. You won't be able to play with users on PS4 if you are on PS5.

If I download the current gen version on the next gen console, will I be able to play with my friends on XB1. Like if I download backward compatibility will it work?
