XBox One controller works issues on PC

I am using an  XBox One controller with Madden 21 PC.

This works, during games, but not fully with the menus. E.g. it is not possible to make the team selection with the controller since you cannot switch to the Away team. No button/stick will bring the selection to it. Aditionally sometimes the A button no more triggers the selection of a menu item. Space on the keyboard works, but not the controller button.

Using the controller via Bluetooth with the latest firmware.

Any ideas?

    Just a Logitech Mouse (Unified).

I found out that the controller works fine,  when adding Madden 21 to the Steam Library,  enabling the xbox controller support in Steam and starting the game via Steam.

Starting plain results in a "oversensative" controller again.

Clearly the game lacks some controller/device support out of the box.

@nuebelm When you're talking about not being able to switch to the Away team you're talking about Exhibition games right? Just checking to make sure it's not Franchise because you can't switch to teams that aren't human controlled.

Do you have any PC updates that are pending to be installed?

Yes, I am referring to Exhibition .

But generally this affects all of the menues. Without starting via Steam, the selection jumps two to four items in one direction when slightly touching the stick.

    It's kind of "hypersensative".

Haven't tested it in Franchise. I am a newbie and mainly playing in Exhibition and MUT.

No updates pending. Everything up to date.

@nuebelm I'm not exactly sure if I remember correctly but I think there should be a Windows option to calibrate / configure controllers in the device manager. furthermore, I think it should be possible to save separate configuration / calibration settings for various applications/games .

    hope that helps. good luck!

@Neo_Novalis Yes, you can calibrate an xbox conroller with the device manager but that won't help. Currently the only way is starting via Steam.
