@Canucksedge I did see this posted on EA Help Twitter in response to a complaint ...
I understand you are facing crashing issues with Madden NFL 22 on Xbox Series X and that must be really frustrating. This issue is something we are aware of and are actively tracking in a ticket we have opened for the subject. Our game team is working on resolving the issue as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on our social media pages and forums for any further updates. Hopefully, you won’t have to wait too long.
Hey, Madden Community.
I wanted to jump in here to reassure you this is being actively looked at by the teams and we'll provide updates for you all here as soon as we can. I was not available in the last week and just came online today, I'll be chasing this down for you this week and keep you all informed on it's developments.
To confirm from those that are crashing, is it only happening to you in Offline Face of the Franchise? I see one other person mention it was happening in MUT too.
We'll be passing info shared in this thread over to the team to help aide them in getting this addressed as quickly as possible.
We apologize for this type of experience at the game's launch and completely understand it's not ideal. We appreciate your patience in the meantime. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Glad I dropped $100 for early release on game that can’t be played. I’d rather have a refund…

Attention, Xbox and PlayStation users.
We could use your help identifying a root cause of the crashes you're all unfortunately experiencing. Can you all let us know of the following details:- Type of Xbox console (X, S, Gen4 version)
- Software version of your Xbox Console
- Are you in the Xbox Preview/Beta Program?
- Do you have anything plugged into your console?
- This includes: Controller charging dock, USB cable, cell phone charger, hard drive, etc.
- Do you have an external hard drive synced up your console, whether you use it for Madden or not?
Please respond back with these details above so we can investigate further.
Thank you,
- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry Xbox Series X

No External Hard Drive- 4 years ago
@EA_Blueberry Xbox Series S
Fully updated software
Not in beta/Preview
External Hardrive (not in use for madden) in USB port
- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry Series X, latest software. I was in the Xbox Beta Program, but cancelled that. To see if that was the cause of crashing. But still crashed after cancelling beta. I sometims6 have a connected controller, issue happenes with both wired and wireless. I do have an external hard drive, which is always synced.
Hope this helps.- EA_Blueberry4 years ago

@Canucksedge @Ev1B
You both mentioned you have external hard drives.
I've seen performance issues in the past where save files are located on both. The installation itself is on one and the post game updates/patches are designated to the other. There is a setting to make sure all post updates go to the same drive. If there are files on two different dries, it causes crashes because the system is trying to pull data from two different file locations.
I also manage the UFC 4 forums. We had players letting us know the game wouldn't work on their external hard drive but once they installed it to the internal drive with the external detached it ran smooth.
Would you be able to delete any Madden files you see on the external drive and then detach it, uninstall all Madden files on your internal drive and then perform a fresh install on the internal to see if we can help get you back into the game?

- 4 years ago@bigdaddykizzle I am with you ... if they get it fixed so we can play, the least they can do is refund the difference between the $120 I paid and the $60 worth I received (I has very happy to spend the extra money and takes days off of work to play the game for three days before general release because I was so hyped).

Submitted a refund request from Microsoft and they told me no because I accessed the game. Doesn't matter that it's unplayable and causes my Xbox crap out...
