Glad I dropped $100 for early release on game that can’t be played. I’d rather have a refund…

I take it that's just the standard USB cable that came with the console for your controller? Just want to get specific confirmation on that.
I've seen random controller charging dock stations lead to crashes for some games.- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry It is the cable that comes with the Elite 2 controller sold by Microsoft for the Xbox.
- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry Series X, latest software. I was in the Xbox Beta Program, but cancelled that. To see if that was the cause of crashing. But still crashed after cancelling beta. I sometims6 have a connected controller, issue happenes with both wired and wireless. I do have an external hard drive, which is always synced.
Hope this helps.- EA_Blueberry4 years ago

You both mentioned you have external hard drives.
I've seen performance issues in the past where save files are located on both. The installation itself is on one and the post game updates/patches are designated to the other. There is a setting to make sure all post updates go to the same drive. If there are files on two different dries, it causes crashes because the system is trying to pull data from two different file locations.
I also manage the UFC 4 forums. We had players letting us know the game wouldn't work on their external hard drive but once they installed it to the internal drive with the external detached it ran smooth.
Would you be able to delete any Madden files you see on the external drive and then detach it, uninstall all Madden files on your internal drive and then perform a fresh install on the internal to see if we can help get you back into the game?- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry do you want me to uninstall Madden? I'm confused.

I’m on ps5 on the latest version of the console and can’t play the game for more than 15 minutes before it just shuts down. Only game it does it for too. No external hard drive and the only thing plugged in is my Bluetooth mic adapter.
- 4 years ago@Bobalooz_Crew17 So this is happening on PS5 too? What I don't get is why are some people having this issue, but other's aren't. Like I don't see any of the big Madden Youtubers complaining about this, I just see them complaining about the hundred other things that are wrong with this game.

Xbox Series X
Latest software
I installed the trial and played for about 45 minutes, was crashing there as well.
I've had the stock controller plugged in via usb and without while I was troubleshooting
No external hard drives or storage expansion
I've reset my my console and re-installed Madden
I've tried playing both with internet connection and without(totally offline it just closes the game, online it totally shuts down the console and disconnects the controller)
I've turned off hdr and lowered to 1080p
game is still unplayable.
thanks

- Are you in the Xbox Preview/Beta Program? No
- Do you have anything plugged into your console? No, nothing is plugged into the console. Just the power cord, HDMI and Ethernet Cable.
- This includes: Controller charging dock, USB cable, cell phone charger, hard drive, etc.
- Do you have an external hard drive synced up your console, whether you use it for Madden or not? - No external hard drive.
There is nothing unusual to report because I am just playing the game, keeping the xbox and game software up to date (auto update). No accessories of any kind. Sounds like you are unable to recreate it on your own or you wouldnt be crowd sourcing troubleshooting.

happening to me as well on my series x. Game installed on the internal ssd. Iit only started happening after the official launch on the 20th. didn’t happen during trial or early access. my console shuts down completely randomly during gameplay. it’s happened during online matches, offline, franchise, solo battles and challenges. I’m not even able to start the Xbox back up with controller, I have to press button on my series x console itself. I’ve tried a different TV (not sure why this would even be an issue that causes my Xbox to shut off), I’ve power cycled, I’ve tried wifi and hardwire, I’ve reinstalled the game, and the list goes on. really hope this is resolved soon. no other game I own has any issue like this, it’s exclusive to madden. how can something like this even make it into a full release game? Please get this fixed soon. I feel like I wasted a lot of money here.

Just wanted to point out that I also didn’t have any issues with the game crashing during the trial (Xbox series x), it’s just been since the full release and only in franchise mode.

@EA_BlueberryXbox Series X
Xbox Software updated
Nothing plugged in.
I do have a 5TB external HDD, madden isn't installed on that drive.\\edit: another thing I realized myself that it seems to be tied to maybe the offline franchises. As of now I decided to do some testing and between yesterday and today I've made it to week 5 in online franchise and I only had one crash and it sent me to the xbox dashboard. But when I was in an offline one it seemed to crash all the time (seemed to do it when ever I would open a new menu, like scouting, and even sometimes when advancing the week) and even shut my entire console down.
So I think at least for me, I've had more issues doing an offline franchise over the online, but I prefer the offline since it'll work if your internet goes down at all and or if you go somewhere where you may not have internet.

happens to me and im mainly a mut player. happens when the whole xbox is offline or not connected to the net, happens in franchise mut, h2h auction house and even the madden main menu!
- 4 years ago@Rodadern My franchise constantly crashes in online.
