[xbox x] game crashes constantly (in various modes)

You both mentioned you have external hard drives.

I've seen performance issues in the past where save files are located on both. The installation itself is on one and the post game updates/patches are designated to the other. There is a setting to make sure all post updates go to the same drive. If there are files on two different dries, it causes crashes because the system is trying to pull data from two different file locations.

I also manage the UFC 4 forums. We had players letting us know the game wouldn't work on their external hard drive but once they installed it to the internal drive with the external detached it ran smooth. 

Would you be able to delete any Madden files you see on the external drive and then detach it, uninstall all Madden files on your internal drive and then perform a fresh install on the internal to see if we can help get you back into the game?

Are you all using a custom Gamertag picture?

I've seen connectivity errors for UFC 4 when players were using non-Microsoft default Xbox profile pictures. 

I think my PS5 bug might be something else. Do you want a different thread for the softlock of the loading screen after a franchise game?

Hard Drive without Madden Files 

@EA_Blueberry no custom profile picture. Also, are you aware if this issue is happening for both games that were downloaded and physical disks? Or is it an issue with only the digital download/pre-order version of the game? 

Also, not sure if this is common to other folks having the crash, but my coaching skill tree menus have overlaying text, and when I am trying to trade/scrolling through trade partners half of the other team's name is cut off in the menu.

@EA_Blueberry I’m not sure about most of the other reports but for me on the series X franchise mode is completely unplayable it crashes 100% of the time if I try doing any basic functions. Roster moves etc. 

@archgnarbI've noticed a lot of overlaying text.

i have NOTHING plugged into the xbox at all and it still happens, its a cop out if you keep trying to pin it to that. actually try and find the issue please. it happens when ur xbox is offline, nothing plugged in and on 3 different displays i have tried. no other game this happens to.

Having the same issue. Crashes less than 5min into Offline Franchise Mode. Super frustrating and at this point the game works better as a drink coaster.

Die hard Madden fan since like ... 1998. But recently  been playing a ton of MLB The Show 21 on Game Pass Ultimate. Living in right now actually. For freeeeeeeeeee! And it works like a charm. No bugs, glitches, freezes, etc. And I don't even really like baseball. Just a cool game ... that works. 

I did the same. Disconnected Hard Drive. I used another Account and installed new and i went also from 5 to 9 Minutes. Then always Crash. I play with LAN or/and WLAN. Always the same. Crash,Crash

I had this with the Trial Version also. 

Man it would be nice to play Madden with my 49ers^^,but momently no Chance
