Attention, Xbox and PlayStation users.

We could use your help identifying a root cause of the crashes you're all unfortunately experiencing. Can you all let us know of the following details:


  • Type of Xbox console (X, S, Gen4 version)
  • Software version of your Xbox Console
  • Are you in the Xbox Preview/Beta Program?
  • Do you have anything plugged into your console? 
    • This includes: Controller charging dock, USB cable, cell phone charger, hard drive, etc. 
  • Do you have an external hard drive synced up your console, whether you use it for Madden or not?

Please respond back with these details above so we can investigate further.

I am experiencing this problem with madden 22 on PS5. When playing mut, both challenges and solo battles the game completely shuts down my PlayStation. I can only then turn my PlayStation back on if I take the power cord out and put it back in again. It happened 4 times within 1 hour yesterday. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, crashed with both the controller plugged into the USB port and without it plugged in. I restored licenses, I restored my console to default settings and the system software is up to date.
