that has nothing to do with it. its random thing today i played a hour and half no issues then other day i played 30 mins and it happend. people have looked into this a game would NOT crash a system it would not dashboard. the game is messing something up that is over heating the system.
people thinking its due to team selection is far from correct. i NEVER had a game crash my xbox series x until this game always would dashboard
- 5 years ago@timbsoslicegb17 Right team selection doesn't make a difference. It crashes in every mode I have played, including play now, and it completely turns off the system. I haven't been able to get through a full game without it shutting down my xbox, and I am not playing it until it's fixed, I'm afraid it's going to brick my console. Fix your broken game EA.

Fix your broken game EA.For the issues you described I agree the team selection likely doesn’t matter. But I can say with confidence the issue I’ve been describing where sitting in the franchise menu for X amount of time and the game crashes and sometimes shuts down the Xbox is definitely related to the team that is selected. But I think we would all agree there are a lot of different issues/bugs in the game and it just sounds like the one you’re describing is different than the one I was.
Just as an update to the issue I described in a previous post, I did start a Lions franchise tonight since it wasn’t crashing in the franchise menu like the other teams I had tried. I have played two preseason games and sat in the menus for a long time without no issue. That’s not to say it won’t crash in the middle of a game or something next time I play, but it only helps support the testing I described earlier. Just hoping EA is paying attention to all this and getting closer to some solutions.
- 5 years ago@autobottevo I never have crashes just sitting in menus, it always happens sometime in the middle of a game, usually in the 3rd or 4th QTR
- 5 years ago@autobottevo Also, last time it crashed, I immediately turned my xbox back on and tried to continue the game, and it ended up crashing a minute later. So I think the theory of it overheating the console is true. I wish the Xbox series X would give some kind of notification that it's overheating but it doesn't. This is the only game this happens with, I could play flight sim for hours and the system never shut itself down.
- playeraj095 years agoRising Rookie@autobottevo I agree with everything you said. For me im only having crashes in franchise menus, other game modes work fine for ME. And selecting certain teams stops those franchise crashes for some odd reason. That is 100% the case for us. Hopefully EA is seeing these posts and are able isolate at least this one specific issue whatever it is.

What I find really annoying is, if there is a bug in MUT it's fixed straight away. Yet it will be 2 weeks on Tuesday, that I have been unable to play this game.

Yeah they have patched bugs or exploits that have benefited the community overnight.
But I can accept this crashing issue is a challenge one because they are trying to find the actual issue. Since people experienced console breaking crashes across every mode in madden. Yeah they might be able to replicate it more with certain teams in franchise but it still happens across other game modes.
And second this crash seems to be a small issues in the overall launch. Outside of this forum or threads like this, I haven’t really heard any buzz from gaming sites or much on social media.
- 5 years ago@MinpinXI There are a few articles on the crashing out there (I've linked two). But you're right, it's not generating enough negative media buzz ... we should probably change that if we want help.
EA just goes silent when they don't want to deal with something... and you notice no EA engagement on the forum for awhile now. - 5 years ago

I don’t know if the game has had so many bugs reported that people just chalk it up to “the game is buggy” and move on, or what the deal is.
It does seem surprising to me that a company as large as EA with a game as popular as Madden wouldn’t be generating more news about these issues.
I even tried emailing Kotaku one day this past week about it to see if they could look into it some more and possibly get some response from EA, but I never heard back. I’ve never done anything like that before so maybe I didn’t explain things well enough, or maybe it’s not something they wanted to pursue, or maybe their email is really backed up, I don’t know. Just grasping at straws at this point.

This guy sums the game up. Video is quite long but really worth watching.
- 5 years ago@autobottevo I have tweeted the Executive Producer and Gamplay Producer, a video of the face glitch, on my Series X. They do nothing. I have signed a petition, showed the same video to Swami. At least Swami replied. He told me to reinstall the game. When I told him reinstalling didn't work he ignored me. I havent been playing Madden that long, since about 2016. That said I havent known a Madden, to be so riddled with this many bugs. I really expected EA to have patched all of these, or at least some of the problems by now. I don't understand how a company can, have such poor business practices. It really feels like they have no regard, for customer satisfaction.

I just “played” weekend league, went 16-9, with 7 losses coming from the game crashing my Xbox completely. I’ve dealt with this problem since day 1, still was faithful and gave it time, but the game is impossible to enjoy when you have no clue if you’re going to make it through the game or not. We need help ASAP with this because it’s effecting all game modes, and a lot of us are at the end of the line here. Fix it or give us our money back!
- 5 years ago@Canucksedge This is effecting MUT too, it’s every game mode. The entire game is unplayable right now because of the disconnect issue.
- 5 years ago@Canucksedge Angry Joe knows what’s up
- 5 years ago@Canucksedge TWO WEEKS. Bro this is wild. Bare with us is not a plausible thing to say when we are crashing thousand dollar consoles and doing nothing to make it right when the game is another $120 and those who invested in packs and what not. I’m just sad.
- 5 years ago@Canucksedge EA gets away with their poor business practices because they have the only NFL game on the market, no competition. Though that's not much of an excuse, 2K has had no competition in basketball for years, and no NBA Live isn't competition, but they've never made a game as broken/unplayable as this one. We can't be the only people experiencing this bug..

People are still spending a ton of money. So they are getting what they want so they don’t give a crap. If people stopped spending money they’ll fix it real quick.
- 5 years ago@Canucksedge Well dang. Yep a good watch and I dont see how people continue to argue against it.
