I was out for the last week visiting family but I'm back now.
I see that the latest title update went out last Friday and there was stability improvements. We're seeing these reports decline so we'll need to dive deeper into those that are still being impacted.
What I'd like to ask you all to try is re-install the game to your internal storage and confirm with me you've got the latest title update (visit settings in the bottom right corner of the main menu and check for content updates). I want to first make sure the game doesn't work after a fresh re-install so we can rule out corrupted data. I also want to confirm it's not working on the internal storage as I've seen some external hard drives cause performance issues in the past.
Once this is done and if it is still crashing please respond back with the following:
We'll swing these details over to the team immediately for further investigation.
this was after a fresh install. it sucks i love this game and i cant play it becuase of this plz ea fix this game i have put def over 300 bucks into this game 120 for the game and then mut stuff
Well hopefully with the free to play weekend maybe the crashing issue will gain some extra traction.
It's still crashing for me after a total reinstall.

Crashes during actual gameplay, so far during offline franchise, usually about 5-10 min into a game.
All I was doing was playing vs the computer..
It crashes my entire system. My screen flashes green very quickly, and then console turns off and disconnects my controller.
This has been ongoing for 1 month with no improvement.

To add to this above. Xbox Support has steps regarding the console shutting down unexpectedly. It could be related to the power supply.

It sounds like you're experiencing a crash since it flashes green, but I want to make sure we cover this too.
i preordered this game and it's unplayable. my system isn't set to turn off automatically and after about 30 minutes to an hour it shuts off my entire series x. this happens in all modes. it's been doing this since early access. i've uninstalled, reinstalled, cursed, blessed, unhooked storage devices, and nothing works. it's appalling i spent 100 dollars on something that i can't play. shame on the whole madden team for releasing something so broken and damn near stealing from their fan base. thank god for microsoft offering refunds. this should be an embarrassment to everyone involved.

Is it crashing with an error code or Dashboarding to the xbox home screen: no it completely shuts down the console with no error message.
No my system is not set to turn off after a certain amount of time... This is the only game that shuts down. I am going to get a refund from Microsoft, should not have to put up with this trash product. Shame on EA
All,
Uninstalled and reinstalled for third time. Downloaded all live content. Played three franchise games, messed around in members, depth charts trades, rosters, etc. No crashes. I've played a combined five hours or so. Fort time I've had no crashes.
I waited a couple days to post this in case it was a fluke. Playing in offline Franchise. Connected controller, stores on internal SSD, no other peripherals, etc.
Def don't think it's a power issue though. That's kinda crazy to suggest with all these complaints.
So I went one step further today ... I completely reset my Xbox Series X to factory settings, reinstalled Madden after that, and then dove into Franchise ... I had three crashes before I gave up again (this is beyond frustrating @EA_Blueberry)
#1 - When quitting the Offline Franchise to return to the main menu the game crashed to the Xbox Main Menu
#2 - Stepped away to use the bathroom with the game in the Offline Franchise Home Screen returned to find the game had crashed to the Xbox Main Menu
#3 - Finally attempted to play my week on game, in the 4th quarter in the middle of a play the screen flashed green for a split second and then turned off my Xbox Series X entirely
There has to be more than half-hearted excuses and attempts to play this off as a console issue or a user issue ... Madden is broken
I spent $120 (like so many others here), took time off work during the release window, and lost out on all of that ... I still have NEVER FINISHED A GAME and CAN NOT ADVANCE MY FRANCHISE.
It's been four weeks since release and we have a broken game and no hope, minimal communication, and lost time and money.
Absolutely not the console but I do want my money back at this point. Can’t play a single game. Crashes my whole Xbox.
I agree with everyone's complaints and disgust. This game (Maddenn 22) is definitely broke. I'm very disappointed in EA releasing such an awful game. I've been a Madden fan/player for over 25 years (even back in the Sega Gensis days).....ALL other games I play on my Xbox Series X work fine and even much better. I'm to the point now where I just insert Madden 21 and move forward. It's quite obvious that EA has no clue how to fix the current version of Madden....such a shame for all of us that have spent money and have been dedicated fans for years! Like most of you, my system crashes completely when trying to play any form of Madden 22 online or offline Franchise modes......
STRANGELY ENOUGH I Uninstalled and reinstalled for what would seem like the 5th or 6th time yesterday while doing so I also uninstalled warzone apex forza horizon and nba 2k21. Not saying any of its related but I Essentially wanted to see if maybe having less space on my hard drive was the culprit. First play through didn't crash for over an hour. Was able to finish numerous solo challenges and open packs and whatever else. Left my game up for a bit to make dinner came back to the dashboard screen...okay. loaded back up and crashed within 20 minutes 2 more times and gave up again.
Again. Microsoft WILL NOT allow me a refund despite how many people are very aware of the crashing. EA HAS NO ******* CLUE what's causing this and seems content that we can't play a game we purchased. Again. Never again EA. We deserve compensation or at the very least more updates as to what's going on. Why is the series S able to run it but my better series x model can't without crashing? Why is it only this game?
