I was having similar issues with crashing. I would get a crash probably once every 4 or 5 games. I actually got to the point where i could figure out which stadiums/teams were a guaranteed crash.
Anyways, as weird as it may sound i decided to unplug my usb charging cable from the xsx just to experiment and ever since then i have had zero crashing issues. I have done a ton of testing with it too, for over a week. Nothing.
I know it sounds ridiculous and doesn't make sense and there is obviously a bigger reason for the crash but i encourage anyone with anything plugged into the usb port to completely remove it. It certainly cant makes things worse!
Thank you for sharing what helped you out, @worldindus
From my years at EA I've seen some strange devices cause issues when plugged into the console. When I plugged by phone's charging cable into my console when I was playing it caused slow menu navigation in NHL 21 and War Zone.
@worldindus
Was this an Xbox controller charging cable? This could be important info for the team to be aware of.
I want to let you all know the previous message I provided regarding Xbox Support troubleshooting is not intended to push the blame to Microsoft or blame others for the crashes. The team is actively still investigating these reports. We want to ensure cases like what @worldindus mentioned are ruled out though. Some crashes can be avoided like in this individual's case.
@EA_BlueberryYes, the officially licensed xbox series x USB charging cable. Note that i would get crashes with or without the controller plugged into it , though. I rarely play with the controller plugged in.
Disregard last post about unplugging usb cable. I iust had a crash for the first time in a week with everything unplugged. Oh well.
