This is not a console issue. Ridiculous that you say it is. The game crashes my system every single franchise game I play. Microsoft won’t offer refunds because it’s been too long. EA Help on Twitter says they can’t help with refunds. So here’s a solution: fix the game we paid $70 for. This is the ONLY game this happens with, which I’m confident others have already stated. I’ve played Valhalla for 200 hours without a crash, but somehow my system becomes an issue when it’s Madden that’s launched and not Valhalla? Give me a break. Tired of the runaround on this thread, the unhelpfulness of EA Help on Twitter and the deafening silence from the dev team.

There is a good chance Microsoft messed up the console with their updates, happened with the xbox one, wouldn’t surprise me if this is the same type of thing. Sad part is xbox just released an update Saturday and its still crashing. Covid has become the ultimate excuse for these corporations to rob us blind with sub standard products.
Update: Spoke to Xbox support, they told me the issues with 2k22 are on the 2k side and that a patch will be released in 72 hours. I’m assuming its the same problem with madden 22, so EA either refuse to admit fault and fix it, or they just don’t have the talent to.
the peope that its the system is getting over heat messages i never once got that and this issue was a thing on cold war and it was patched. i 100 percent know its Ea fault
Wow, so that's just it? It's the only game I play that it happens while playing. I am and have been plugged directly into an outlet and have nothing else plugged into the XBOX. Since I started counting, I'm up to 33 times the game has green screened me while playing either MUT Draft or occasionally solos. I play COD for several hours at a time and have no issues. I just turned my XBOX and played a MUT draft game and in the third QTR of my first game got green screen shutdown again. Please tell me that you all are gonna figure this out and not just say tough luck.
Ive spoken to xbox support, since EA isnt fixing the problems in their games xbox is currently investigating and working on a fix for madden and fifa. Sad that Microsoft has to do EA’s job for them.
I seem to be one of the few people on here, who was lucky enough to have no crashing, after the first title update. I have played pre season, and three reg season games. I havent touched the game in almost three weeks. In all honesty this game is complete junk. All of the new Franchise features, are boring they add no more depth, or enjoyment to the game. The gameplay is the same as it has been for about 5 years. Commentary is also, the same audio as previous games. The scouting update will arrive in October, not September, if at all. I understand how frustrated you guys feel about, not being able to play this game, but honesty you aren't missing much. I wish I had saved the money, I paid for early release and purchased Far Cry 6. I know I won't be pre-ordering this game again. Hopefully the other company, who recently secured an NFL license, can make a good NFL game.

I just want what I paid for or a refund if they aren’t going to fix it. Considering we can’t even play the game I would say we certainly have wasted money, you can play the game, it may not feel like money well spent but its certainly not wasted
They aren’t solely focusing on the overheating bug, there is a problem with coding or the software. They wanted to rule out corrupted data on the OS so they are suggesting users try a console reset but have it keep your games and apps so it resets the OS. I tried that and it didn’t work, but it seems like they are getting close to a fix and I would expect an update or a patch from Microsoft soon. This is incredibly frustrating but like you said at least someone is doing something, the fact that I get more communication from xbox support about madden 22 and the issues its having than I do EA is pretty damn telling. Any other company would fire everyone responsible for this debacle, from devs to the mods and service reps on here. Instead EA put’s their fingers in their ears and says “la la la I can’t hear you”.
Where are you able to follow along with Microsofts efforts to fix this? Is there a message board or reddit or something or are you messaging them directly?

It says nba 2k22 but they are aware that fifa 22 and madden 22 are experiencing the same issue so the fix should be universal.
