So: I went ahead and bit the bullet - sent in my X to MS after trying all the suggested "fixes" by MS and EA (you all know them, not going to waste time repeating). After specifically asking if they would REPAIR mine, not just replace it, sure enough, they sent me a different Series X. They had it for a few days before sending the replacement. I kept photos of the S/N and build dates. Mine was a May 2021 build, replaced with a Dec 2020 build. Called back to ask why this happened - all they would say was that in the event they can't repair the unit, they replace it with a "certified MS unit". I spent an hour or so, created a few franchises, played thru a couple games simming to moments and haven't had a freeze yet. MS was not able to share any repair notes or tell me what, if anything, they tries to do to fix my original unit. Needless to say, I am less than happy with MS and EA.

Did every other game run fine?
Shut down only happened in M21 and M22 for me. But to be fair, i only had a couple other games installed anyway. NHL 21, Cyberpunk, never even tried COD on it due to shutdown problem.

Madden 22 is the only game i own that shuts down my xbox, COD, NHL 21, Fifa 21 (not going to list my entire game library) all work fine. Madden 22 is the only game that shuts down my xbox so while im glad you sent yours in and it worked once you got it back. I am not going to send in a new console, pay for repair/replacement 2 months after purchase just because EA can’t code their games properly and I don’t think anyone should/have to do that. EA needs to fix their game or there lawyers will have another court date to appear at.

So what happens regarding your warrenty as thsy sent you a older consol?? Im having issues with fifa 22 and if they continue next week i will send my xbox off for repair

Yeah that’s not cool. I was realllllly contemplating sending mine in but it’s not worth missing 2-3 weeks of madden if it’s not even an Xbox problem. Supper bummed about mut22. Big fail. Maybe next year the game will be playable. Lol
