Some people think that he will carry over to your team next season after the reset in August. If that happens,having an 89 OVR TE when the rest of your lineup is bronze players will be a nice boost.
That would be cool if it did, but this being EA it's quite a safe bet that it won't. The OBJ cover card from last year didn't carry over to this year.
- What I found hilarious is that they made the ultimate legend Gronk better than the domination Gronk. Way to make one of the most prestigious rewards in this game worthless. The fact that you can get the better Gronk on the auction house is the feather in the cap to EAs idiocy.
