@t0n1-gh7 A backward pass is considered a pitch which is considered a run play. It's the same in real football as well.

The NFL rulebook calls it a "backward pass" (source: https://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/11_Rule8_ForwardPass_BackPass_Fumble.pdf). Emphasis here being on pass. Going based off Madden Mobile, there are pitch plays you can call, those are grouped as run plays, however, if I call a short pass play (eg the screen pass) and then complete a horizontal pass/pitch, how is that not a completed pass?
