Every time I try to buy a player it just says bid failed

I agree with joke, try raising your bid higher than only the 100 minimum higher than the current bid.
Or just using buy it now.
If your bidding on items/players that are near ending they usually have a lot of activity of people bidding on them. You have to bid fast, and be ready to bid again if your outbid.
If the auction has less than 15seconds left, each new bid will reset the time left to 15seconds
