Are those 89 OVR players from Road to the Draft or Draft players? Madden Mobile players are able to acquire those players from recent Madden Today events so it's counter-intuitive to purchase them off the auction house unless they're trying to complete a certain set. You might see some of those sold at the last second before those sets expire from players coming up short on sets. If they aren't RttD or Draft players you'll likely have more difficulties selling them unless players need them for sets, which at this point of the season only the most recent few programs host Master players worth going after to keep your team top tier.
I appreciate your thoughtful reply. Some of the players were RTTD and none sold even when priced at just 1000 tokens. I understand the essence of your thesis but I have to counter it by stating that an 89 OVR player for just 1000 tokens or less is a good deal for building player power. Additionally, I am not the only player having this issue. A quick review of the EA Help forum and other online Madden forums reveals that this is a widespread problem effecting many players. I'd like to add that at the same time elites became unsellable that MM stopped awarding diamond players for wins in season mode. Prior, I had been awarded a diamond player plus elites for almost every season mode win. Then, at about the same time elites became unsellable, season mode stopped awarding diamond players for wins. It feels like EA is trying to slow players' ability to build their teams by making elites unsellable and by no longer awarding diamond players for wins in season mode and by other means beyond the scope of this text. Point being, there is definitely an issue with the auction house. I have read numerous reports of experiences with unsellable elites just like mine and I notice tons of elites going unsold at auction regardless of OVR, type of player, or price. There IS an issue, as far as I can ascertain, and I know that I along with every other player having this problem would feel better if EA adjusted the AH bot so that elites would sell again and I wouldn't mind if season mode wins resulted in diamond players being awarded again as they were previously.
