Can't promote my league member to admin?

Every time I try to promote my league member to admin, it says they aren't eligible. Why?

    Follow-up.  I just confirmed this.  It's most likely an age restriction that you are all experiencing.

    I have a second and third account that are not currently in leagues (all different devices).  One of the accounts was originally my son's who was 14 at time of signing up. The other account was one I created when I thought I would try managing two accounts. Obviously, that didn't work out too well.

    • I added my secondary account to my current league and was successfully able to promote to ADMIN status
    • I left the league with my secondary account and was also able to create my own league

    then...

    • I added my sons account to my current league and received the not eligible message for ADMIN status
    • I left the league with my sons account and also did not see an option to create a league

All, I don't have proof of this answer, but I believe it to be true.

When you originally created your account, you were asked for you birthday/age.  I don't know at what age EA considers a minor vs. adult, but if you are considered a minor, then I don't believe you have the ability to be promoted and/or create your own league (you can test this theory).  It used to be that minors weren't allowed to participate in league chat either, but I believe that has changed since then.

Again, I could be entirely wrong, but I know this used to be true.  I just have heard of a change and never got around to actually testing this.  Hope this helps and I hope EA re-evaluates these restrictions and/or age requirements, but I understand why they exist.
