umm yeah iv'e had this problem in the past but i keep doing it and i don't find it impossible, in fact iv'e already gotten 4 of the combine player and i am close to a 5th and a 6th, i found that you get better rewards for doing better in the event, for example if it is to throw 40 yards to wide receivers every time i got 80 or 90 i got a 20, 40, or 60 every time i didnt' i got one of the other ones.
