Let's Watch: Overdrive Stream May 30th 10AM EST

Overdrive

• will be returning next season

• Completely optional and won't be required for anything

• No exclusive rewards in OD mode

• "We're bringing back an environment that will let our players choose how to play the game"

• Other modes next season include: Competitive, Solo, Leagues

Some other new things that were shown on screen but weren't talked about yet:

- Sets are returning

- Stamina is returning

- Madden Cash is returning

- Team power is returning

- Daily Goals is returning

- OVR will start lower than ever to make the ratings between OVRs more impactful. You will see some starters with a OVR in the mid-50s

- "Madden Gems" are coming as a new currency - "an accessible currency used to purchase store packs and stamina"

Season Score and Legacy Mode

• Season Score is live NOW.

• Legacy mode rewards are not just players - you can get rewards that will be "foundational benefits" including different currencies. You can earn these rewards through Season Score

• The AH Tax Reducer is one of these rewards - reduce next season's AH Tax by up to 5% (it will stay at 10% originally)

• You can still earn rewards like the AH Tax Reducer next season as well, so there's no pressure to finish everything this season, but it'll give you a headstart.

• Currency is "Draft Points"

Some quick things I want to point out too on top of David's notes from what I heard on the stream.

• Legacy mode will be available in the new season, so if you were really close to a reward you can still earn more to acquire it. It's not time restricted so you don't have to worry about coming up just shy of a reward and missing it. If you have your eyes set on something, you'll get it.
• If your overall is higher during this season you'll be able to earn rewards faster going into next season. What you do now will help you for next season!
• You need to create a team during this season or else you won't be able to access Legacy mode next season
