Madden max
Hi, Can you guys try to make the madden max badges easier to get because I've been wasting to much players for just one madden max badge so can you guys please adjust the difficulty of getting the ...
While I am sure you are expecting a reply from an EA representative themselves, I would still like to provide my input from the perspective of a Game Changer and long time player of the game.
Whenever the subject regarding the affordability of Madden Maxes is brought into discussion with Community Manager, Nick, the response remains the same: "Madden Max will naturally become more obtainable with each subsequent Field Pass." And so it has. The price per Madden Max badge has decreased quite a bit since Madden Max was initially introduced during the S6 Field Pass. To put things into perspective, the cheapest path to building a Madden Max player from scratch when they were introduced was equivalent to 700 million coins. Currently, you can realistically build a Madden Max player from scratch for 150 million coins. With that being said, 150 million coins is by no means cheap for any person, but it is not nearly as unrealistic as it was when Max was first introduced.
You have to realize when the game introduced Madden Max this season, the expectation was not for someone to be able to build a full roster of Madden Max players (even though this will very likely happen this season as someone has already managed to build 14 Madden Max players by spending money). I think we all have false expectations of Madden Max based off of what it was last season. Last season, requirements to build were far too easy. It was not at all difficult to build a full team of Max players without spending a penny on the game. For example, I was able to build a full Max team no money spent with over a month left to spare in the season. If you spent money, you could have gotten to that point twice as fast as I did. That left a good bit of time in the season with nothing left to build towards. The way they implemented Max this season is much better for both EA and the team building aspect of the game.
If you are looking at the Madden Max sets currently and are saying to yourself that there's no way you will be able to build even one, my best advice would be to simply ignore Madden Max altogether. Instead, save and build upon your resources (be patient). So in your case, instead of exchanging all these players into the Madden Max sets like you have been doing, you should try and optimize their coin value by immediately selling them on the Auction House. You will be able to buy these same players on the Auction House for a cheaper price come next Field Pass.
It has already been confirmed that there will be another Field Pass season following S9, so requirements to build a Max player will become even more affordable for us. I would continue to hold off on building toward any Maxes, and instead focus on building your coin stack. Then once the new Field Pass drops, you should have enough coin to start building Max badges at a more affordable rate. Generating coin this season does not require too much effort, so you should be able to build a respectable coin stack from now until the new Field Pass drops by working the Auction House. You can make millions of coins a day by simply playing the promos and selling off the assets. There's tons of coin making strategies out there, it just requires some effort on your part.
My last piece of advice would be to not pressure yourself into thinking that you need to build several maxes to have a competitive team. These current 102 OVR Promo Masters play just as well as any available player in game and have endgame potential for the majority of people's teams. Don't think you have to build Max players now to be successful.
Sorry this reply turned out to be as long as it is, but I hope it puts things into perspective when it comes to Madden Max.
That’s good insight as I’ve been playing MM since it’s inception. The only problem is as you said there isn’t much time left in the season to enjoy them!
Ive learned over the years that once you reach a certain OVR all the AI games are very ez and winnable.
Where the higher OVR comes into play is against real time opponents and for the most part the stronger your team is the stronger the matchup with your opponent. The only real equitable games are the Draft Tournaments.
On another note…. EA needs to do a better job of communicating and explaining rules to games.
An example is do Boosts come into play in Draft Tournaments? If they do, then a higher OVR will have an advantage over lower ones because they would have obtained more Boosts even though we all draft the same way!
Another issue I have is Strategy selections for defense. It would be great if we could actually see the defense selections in real time like in a Tutorial! As it is now you can select up to 5 D’s but you don’t know how strong each one is and if you select just 1 Def then that’s the only way you’ll know if it works if you select all 5 they rotate based on EA or AI.
I have a thousand more issues I could address and have talked with @EA_Blueberry for 2 seasons now about the need for better in-game communication since no one in my League ventures out to these posts.
Anyway, didn’t want you to feel alone in your long post which really wasn’t too long!
Blue……send me a message!
