Mine was getting to same point and now it doesn't get past the very beginning of start up. Suprised no one else has posted or someone has replied with answers.

Sorry for not answering quickly I was busy.
They have been a couple other questions exactly like this. So I would highly suspect it to be something with EA's servers. Please sit tight while members are hard at work fixing this.
