Phone not opening Game.

So my buddy bought a new phone, the Cat S42 and he only plays madden mobile but his phone will not open the app, it opens until the main screen and then crashes saying connection error, doesn’t matter if he’s on cell data, or any different wifi. His phone runs Android 12, I’ve done everything I’ve seen to help it.
