Player Invite Not Working in MM 22

Have noticed that I'm unable to search for and invite players to join my league. Is MM 22 broken? Or do I have to fulfill certain requirements to be able to perform invites? I can promote my league no problem but when I try to invite, the app does not allow me to enter player names or search for players by any other means. In the past, inviting new players was functional from the start of each new game year so I'm confused. Is MM 22 not operating normally, do I have to "unlock" the ability to invite players, or what? Other league chair-people seem to have the ability to invite yet I do not. Solution?
