Re: Madden Mobile 23 Ovr changes 8/19

This was an epic disaster.  Not only did I trade in all of my MM22 legacy players for packs, I used those MM23 iconics for resources to make my MM22 players better to play Journey events and headliner events that have outrageously high OVR requirements to play.  My ovr went from 4088 to 3472, down 616 ovr.  That's not 10%, it's more like 16%.  Marvel Derrick Henry was 150 ovr with my 10% weight room boost ans now he's 126, which is 16%.  It now appears too that MM22 players aren't getting the weight room boosts added to them once they hit the lineup.  I just spent 8000 weights to put these boosts into effect and they don't work.  This affects us way more than EA thinks.  All those iconics would be better than the players on my current roster, except they weren't when I traded them in for resources to upgrade players they then turn around and nerf.  Wouldn't it have been 1000x easier and less messy to just make the Headliners players OVR higher than 117 and 122?  @EA_Blueberry  There needs to be a make good on this.  10,000 coins and 1000 TP doesn't cover near what I spent.  I also traded in 8 iconics that were useless at the time but would be better than most of my guys now, let alone all the coins and TP and weights spent for nothing.

    @Leighton3737This is so wrong on so many levels and now there’s nothing to play as we already progressed on Headliners and Journey where I was close to completing Headliners! Oh well! 

    I know why they did it because those who carried over Marvels and Iconics wouldn’t need to spend real $$ on new MM23 players and packs since they debut’d lower OVR than our current lineup.

    Correction: I’ve read on many of the Boards ie; Twitter, Reddit, and on here how disastrous this change is for believing maxing out MM22 players would benefit MM23 play!

    I have 7 Marvels and the rest ALL Iconics maxed out from last season to now be lowered by 15%!

    What that means is I/We won’t be able to participate in Headliners or Journey for maybe months!

    How is this fair??

    My OVR was 3930 and it dropped to 3264 overnight while other players in my league have not dropped at all. At the close of MM22 I had the highest OVR and when MM23 started I had the 5 highest OVR for some reason unknown and not after this drop of 666 points I'm the 16th highest. I can't understand how I dropped lower than my other league members when I WAS the highest.

    The overall nerfing was way more than 10%, it was more in the range of 16%.  That really isn't the main issue though.  Most of us who built our teams up last year, made trades during the first two days of the season, because those new MM23 cards weren't as good as our old MM22 cards.  I personally traded in 10 iconics, which after the nerfing would have been better cards than what I have.  At the time though, they weren't.  On top of them, I traded those iconics in for training resources to try to reach extremely difficult OVR requirements, like 4400 for the Headliners final event.  Because my MM23 players were better, those are the players I leveled up, using the MM22 iconics to get the training points.  Then after the nerfing I lost 616 OVR from my team.  Now, not only do I not have those 10 iconics I traded in that would have helped my team, but I'm not even close to where I was OVR wise so, it's a triple kick in the nuts.  Getting 10,000 coins, 1,000 TP and 1 x iconic is nothing compared to what I wasted, leveling up players that had I known were going to be nerfed 16% I would never have done so.  It's very expensive resource wise to upgrade players above level 5, which cost me millions of coins, which I got from completing journeys, that I'm now about 400 OVR away from being able to play again.  Add in to that, that I boosted my team for 4 days and 12 hours at 10% for both offensive categories and 9% and 7% for both defensive categories and that boost was a complete waste.  The game is literally at a stand still, I can't progress any further than I already have.  Log on, complete your daily goals, play LVL drives and Arena drives, auto play your headliners stamina and have a nice day.  Nothing else to do.  I understand, why the nerfing was done, but it caused other issues outside OVR changes.  We should get back any iconics we traded in prior to the nerfing and journeys should be completely reset to the beginning, allowing us to get those wasted resources back.  OVR requirements need to either be totally removed or drastically reduced.  It makes no sense anyways, that you'd only allow they best teams to play the final headliners event at 4400 OVR.   It's just rewarding the few teams that don't even need it.  Make the even hard to complete, but not unobtainable.

    I agree 100% there needs to be more compensation than what we received! We are being penalized for THEIR mistake!

    I own my own biz so I know the value of commerce especially on a company that had 5 BILLION dollars in revenue just last year, but the savings they thought they’d save by making this inequitable correction will cost them more lost revenue than what they thought they’d initially save!
    However, there’s no way they can measure it so it’ll be CRICKETS from EA!

    Blue, I feel for you and hope they’re paying you the big bucks for all the vitriol you’re catching!!!

    It’s not your fault, just hope EA doesn’t treat you the way they just treated their non-valued customers!!!
