Re: Why can't we play old versions of Madden mobile
@AR12goat5
Essentially, yes; it's a server thing. Historically, MM15-MM20 was played on the same app. At the conclusion of each season, the servers would go offline for a period of time and server maintenance would commence. After a few days, an update for the app will be made available via the app store and the new game will launch with the updated servers. At this time, the prior season will no longer be available to play.
Now, with the transition from MM20 to the current Madden NFL 21 Mobile, things were a bit different than usual. MM20 is actually still playable (you can still download the game if you have it in your app store's download history), which is something that was not a thing with any of the prior Madden Mobiles. This is because Madden NFL 21 Mobile is a completely separate app from the prior MM20 season, so the MM20 servers were able to remain online and co-exist with the new season.
