Activation code won't work

Bought this game on sale today. Found the Activation code very well hidden under "game properties." Inserted the activation code when I ran the game and the game would not accept the code. I did the "cut & paste" method and the "type it in" method. Restarted the Origin client. Didn't work.

Found the activation code area of Origin that is unrelated to the game. Enter code. Got an error message "that the code was already used."

This system works great. Still can't play the game.

    Sadly it is a large problem for a number of people. They are currently working on solving the issue. See the announcement to the right of the forum or the sticky thread. ☹️

    So I searched the database first and could not find anything. So I posted my question...THEN I found all the other posts about activation. 

    This system works great. Just like Steam!

    I was being sarcastic. I have never had this issue on steam.
