Banned from ME3 multiplayer - will buying a new copy give access?

So a couple of years ago a friend showed me the credit exploit, and silly me abused the hell out of it, resulting in a (justified) permaban.

Now though I really feel like playing online again, legit naturally, and I don't mind rebuying Mass Effect 3 if this is necessary.  Will a new game give me access online, or is the ban against the origin account?  Obviously I can buy the game on a new account but that's pretty inconvenient.
